Welcome new and returning Trustees to the Carden Arbor View Board of Trustees! On September 10, 2011, the board held its annual Board Retreat to continue planning and developing for our school.
What does the board of trustees do? The board is the governing body of Carden Arbor View School. It is not involved in the day-to-day business and mangement of the school, but oversees that the school is being run in conjunction with the CAVS mission and bylaws.
A trustee's term commitment is for 3 years. A trustee may serve for two consecutive terms.
Board meetings are open and guests are certainly welcome and encouraged to attend.

Bitsy Catering and CAVS are continuing our efforts to improve service as well as offer our families convenient and nutritious lunches. Our success is directly related to each of us meeting our responsibilities.
Lunch orders must be received in a timely manner to ensure efficient service. The due date for each monthly order is printed at the bottom of each of the order forms.
Orders received after the due date will be charged an additional $10.00 and will require a two day processing period of time. No same day orders will be accepted.
All order forms must be submitted with payment in full for the entire monthly period. Checks made out to Bitsy Catering, must accompany your order and need to be turned into the front office. No orders will be processed without payment.
In the event of an emergency,(such as the student discovers he/she has forgotten a lunch in the back seat of a parent’s car) students will be offered sustenance in the form of cheese and crackers, carrot sticks, fruit, and juice or milk. The family will be notified immediately and the $5.00 payment is expected to be received in the office at the time the child is picked-up in the afternoon.
Please, send your child(ren) to school with a box/bag lunch or pre-ordered lunch. Thank you in advance for taking notice of these important directions.
OCTOBER MENUS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2011.

New Law requires Tdap Records for Grades 7-12.
Please turn in your records today!
Under a new law, California middle and high school students must be vaccinated against pertussis (whooping cough). Beginning July 1, 2011, all students entering 7th through 12th grades are required to show proof of a “Tdap” booster shot before starting school. This requirement applies to all public and private schools. The new requirement was signed into law in 2010 by Governor Schwarzenegger. Starting July 2012, only students entering 7th grade will need proof of a Tdap booster shot.
Incomplete Tdap records will result in your child not being able to attend Carden Arbor View School. See Mrs. Paxton in the front office if you have any questions.
Thank you.
