A Night in the Enchanted Forest
What a great time we had at the Imagine That's, Enchanted Forest last Friday night. It was a perfect venue to welcome new families and returning families to CAVS. GALA 2011 also provided a great opportunity to continue to celebrate the school's 30th anniversary!
Over three hundred guests attended the event. Guests were greeted by our Board of Trustees. Steve from C.F. Menzies entertained the students with beautiful balloon art, while Julie Hilton of Crown Jewel Photography photographed our families and DJ Slim entertained us with some fun music!
All new students and families were announced and invited to the stage. Following, Mrs. Edwards introduced our MC's Marcus Baldwin and Weston Martinez who did a fine job introducing our student performers. Blake Cheramie sang "Fly to Your Heart", Victoria O'Campo read her own poem " My Wish" and Madison La Ferr belted out "Gimme Gimme" from Thoroughly Modern Millie. Francisco Munoz played his classical guitar and Sasha Seagull ended the student performances singing "You'll Be in My Heart."

A special art exhibit of student's work was provided by Mrs.Escoto our art teacher for all to enjoy.

The night ended with a celebration of our 30 years introducing Mrs. Humphries, founder of our school, lots of cake and dancing!
Thank you to everyone who made this a wonderful event! Our vendors included: C.F. Menzies, Steve Mings, Balloon artists, Imagine That!, Gracious Living Church, Pastor Joe Cano and Mrs. Cano who graciously allowed CAVS to use their AV projectors and screens. Mrs. Julie Hilton, Crown Jewel Photography, Mrs. Anne Yeoh, who photographed all our new students and provided graphic posters and easels, Ms. Buckner and Greg Whelchel who provided audio video and lighting, DJ Slim for awesome DJ services, Rocky Mountain Chocolates and the Kelber Family for providing our exclusively designed " Cougar Candied Apples" and to Mr. & Mrs. Hill for the Lemondade Candy Stix.
A special thanks to our PFO volunteers, Mrs. Dina Seagull, Mrs. Holly Bagdasarian, Mrs. Judith Ferris, Mrs. Marcella Kahkejian, Mrs. Maria Mora, Mrs. Patty Borges, Mrs. Johanna Chock, Ms. Liz Tinsley, Mrs.Kathy West, Kyle and Cassidy Bagdasarin and Sasha Seagull who helped with setting up our tables. And thanks to our Carden Arbor View Staff and teachers for your contributions to our school!

Arbor View Society 2011-2012
Launching a Brighter Tomorrow
Join Arbor View Society during the month of October.
What is Arbor View Society? Arbor View Society,(AVS) is Carden's annual giving campaign. Like other priviate schools, Carden relies on annual giving to support expenses that are not covered by the costs of tuition . Look to the south of our campus as our grade schoolers enjoy the colorful and creative playground environment. This, along with a renovated science lab, iMac computers, SMART boards and Edline software are just a few of the numerous enhancements that generous contributions have allowed.
For more information, contact your AVS Grade Level Chairs. Special thanks to our AVS Chairs, Mrs. Trish Poupard and Mrs. Rossana Baldwin for your leadership with AVS this year! Read more
