Campus Information & Tour Day
We offer tours on a drop-in or by appointment basis. The appointment offers you the opportunity to meet with a member of our administration. Call our office to arrange an assessment for the 2017-2018 school year. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm, 909-982-9919.
STUDENTS APPLYING FOR FIRST THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE
As part of the admissions process, we would like all students in the first through eighth grades to spend a day or two on campus. Visiting students will participate in an entrance evaluation and in class activities along with current students. This is an opportunity for school personnel, prospective students, and their families to gather additional information to make an informed decision regarding enrollment at Carden Arbor View School.
STUDENTS APPLYING FOR KINDERGARTEN
We will evaluate students entering the kindergarten on the Saturday test dates listed below. Sign-up sheets for the Saturday evaluation will be available at the orientation meeting or you may call the office to make an appointment. Evaluation takes approximately 2 1/2 hours.
Kindergarden Assesment Dates (Reservations required)
FOR ALL APPLICANTS
Bring or mail to the office the following items one week prior to your child's test or classroom visitation date. Your testing appointment is guaranteed by our receipt of these items.
Enrollment offers are mailed to parents by April 1.
Step 1: Assessment
Every child applying for admission to Carden Arbor View School must complete an assessment. The purpose of the Assessment is to ensure the child is ready for our curriculum on many levels. While children can be intellectually ready for a challenging academic program, they may not be emotionally or socially ready for such an environment.
For kindergarten children, this assessment is geared toward determining the child's readiness to spend a full day in a classroom program.
For children in first through eighth grades, the assessment is geared toward determining whether the child will be successful in a demanding academic program.
The assessment must be scheduled with the school. Before the assessment of each child, parents must fill out an application and pay a $100 Assessment Fee. Please note the Assessment Fee is non-refundable.
Step 2: Offer of Admission
Once the admission process is complete, the school will make a determination about admission and communicate with the parents the status of their child's admission.
Depending upon the enrollment period, admission may be offered immediately and the child encouraged to join the class in the current year. However, admission may be offered for the following school year, or an admission offer may be held until mid-March; when students re-enrolling must register for the new school year and the grade level openings are finalized.
Prior to admission, we encourage children in first through eighth grades to spend a half- or full-day in the classroom they may join. This visit often helps children decide if Carden Arbor View is best for them.

Carden Arbor View School appreciates the level of commitment and the many sacrifices tuition poses for families that entrust us to help raise their children into successful and caring adults. We constantly balance the need to increase tuition with the need to pay our teachers and staff competitively, so that we can continue to provide the quality education that you expect.
With this in mind the Board of Trustees has chosen FAST by Independent School Management, to process our financial award applications. FAST applies a precise school specific formula to their process and we think you will find their website easy to navigate. They are also available to answer any questions you may have.
Please understand that the funds we use are limited and often fall short of need. With this in mind CAVS has committed to using a fair and mission appropriate approach that protects tuition from rising too quickly by assuring that we only help families with true need.
The 2017-18 Financial Aid application year runs from December 2017 through November 2018. Please visit the FAST website for more information and to begin the process.
