Every child applying for admission to Carden Arbor View School must complete an assessment. The purpose of the assessment is to ensure the child is ready for our curriculum on many levels. Miss Mae Carden believed that students learn the best when they feel comfortable and confident in their environment. While children can be intellectually ready for a challenging academic program, it is important that their emotional and social needs also be met.

For kindergarten children, this assessment is geared toward determining the child's readiness to spend a full day in a classroom program. Our kindergarten assessments will be held on Saturday mornings in group setting. Most children find the assessment enjoyable.

For children in first through eighth grades, the assessment is geared toward determining whether the child will be successful in a demanding academic program. 

Reservations are now being accepted for assessments for the 2025-26 school year. Please call our office to reserve as space is limited.

Classroom visitations are an opportunity for prospective first through eighth grade students and their families to meet school personnel and gather additional information to make an informed decision regarding enrollment at Carden Arbor View School.

Carden Arbor View School believes very strongly in parent involvement and participation. We are a small school with large goals for our students.

Although we operate as a non-profit organization, we do require tuition and fees to provide the high-quality education parents expect from a school that follows the Carden Method.
