Advancement at Carden Arbor View School

Picture
Like most independent schools, tuition at Carden Arbor View School does not cover the total costs of education. CAVS relies on development fundraising both from its families and from outside sources to fill the gap between budgeted expenses and desired improvements. Specifically, the monies raised through the 2017-2018 development campaign with a projected goal of $150,000 will be directly focused on maintaining, developing and providing continued resources needed for our school to grow.  Fundraising supports small class size, music, art, computer programs, physical education, 21st Century classrooms, enriching field trips, and more
There are several ways in which the community provides assistance to the school.

Arbor View Annual Fund (AVAF) is Carden’s “official” annual giving campaign and takes place September 2017 -June 2018.  Like other independent, private schools, Carden relies on annual giving to support expenses not covered by the costs of tuition. Look to the south of the campus as our grade schoolers enjoy the colorful and creative playground environment. This, along with the renovated science lab, iMac computers, SMART boards, and new applications software are just a few of numerous enhancements that generous contributions have allowed.

•100% Participation is our goal! This year our goal is to encourage 100% participation from our Board of Trustees, families, faculty and raise $75,000 from our annual fund giving campaign.  We anticipate that each family will give to their level of financial ability. The 100% participation of our CAVS families is to reach our goal of $75,000 which is an average of $500 per family. 100% participation demonstrates school community support and could mean the difference between funding a future project or not. Every donation makes an impact! Last year, we raised over $75,000 for our school, thanks to the generous donations of our families, faculty, staff and Board of Trustees, and corporate matching gifts.

• The Arbor View Annual Fund  campaign will launch on September 7th and 8th at Back to School Nights  and will continue throughout the month of October when every family will be encouraged to participate and fill out a pledge form.

• Monetary donations to the annual giving fund are 100% tax-deductible. Donations may be made by check or credit card (Visa/MC/Discover). Either drop your donation off at the front office in a provided AVS envelope or mail your donation to: Carden Arbor View School School Development, 1530 N. San Antonio Avenue, Upland, Ca 91786.  Or, you may make a  gift on-line at the DONATE button on the home page.  If seeking a tax-deduction for the 2017 calendar year, please fulfill your pledge gift by December 31, 2017.  Pledges are welcome at any level that are comfortable for your family.  All pledges must be fulfilled by June 30, 2018 for the 2017-2018 annual fund.

 • Did you know? While it may seem like tuition should cover all expenses, in the arena of private schools, it simply does not. Annual giving programs  provide the wonderful extras that help enrich your child’s educational experience, as well as replenish reserves for the future.  All pledges and gifts are appreciated and will continue to make a difference to our school!

CAPER 2018

Picture
CAPER SAVE THE DATE! The 18th Annual CAPER event will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018    The event will take place at the Glendora Country Club.  CAPER is our annual event which benefits the students at Carden Arbor View School. This CAPER event Celebrates the Achievements, Perseverance, Excellence and Responsibility of the students attending Carden Arbor View School. It is only through the contribution of community minded friends, and parents like you that we were able to raise more than $65,000 at last year’s event! We hope that we can count on your support to build on our past success.
Carden Arbor View School is a kindergarten through eighth grade, private, non-sectarian school serving families of the Inland Valley. The Carden teaching method addresses the needs of the whole child—weaving an education designed to prepare children for life throughout the core academic curriculum. We place equal emphasis on the need for that education to be presented within a physical and spiritual context of high moral standards and values.

CAPER, Carden Arbor View School’s annual fund raising event plays a vital role in the operations of the school. Your donated gift-in-kind item can be placed in either the silent or live auction. Proceeds from the event will be allocated toward student and campus projects. We rely on the generosity of our families and community for additional support, to aid us in our quest to provide an exceptional moral and academic education for our most valuable resource—our children.

You can help make the annual CAPER event a success by becoming a sponsor, donating cash, a gift certificate, or an item or service for the silent or live auction. For information about this important annual event, please contact Ms. DiMarco in the Advancement office or email to tdimarco@cardenarborview.org
