Carden Arbor View Advancement
Carden Arbor View School recognizes Development and Advancement as those programs designed to promote goodwill, build a sense of community, provide parent education, and raise additional funds for Carden Arbor View School. All Advancement activities are sanctioned by the Board of Trustees, administered and executed by the staff and include parent participation. It is the intent of CAVS that these activities not interfere with the regular academic program, cause undue financial hardship, take and inordinate amount of time, or place unnecessary stress on our families. Therefore, activities and events are limited and must have the approval of the Board of Trustees and the Head of School before moving forward. All activities and events are reviewed each year to ascertain merit and make sure they align with the school's mission.
The Advancement Committee meets four times a year. The committee is chaired by a Board Trustee member and the committee reviews restricted gifts and gifts in-kind for approval by the Head of School and the Board of Trustees. All events are administered by task forces, administered by the Head of School. The task force organizes parent/speaker events, the welcoming family event, Fall Gala, and organizes on campus and student events such as the Fall Carnival and the Annual Book Fair. The school currently holds two fundraising activities annually, the Arbor View Annual Fund giving campaign and the CAPER Dinner, Dance, and Auction.
